Material Coordinator in the Logistics department. This positing reports to the Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Manager.
Summary: Under limited supervision, perform work involving storage, inventory, kitting and delivery of materials and supplies for jobs on the production floor. Act as first point of contact for internal questions regarding missing purchased items; inventory and expense items on the production floor.
Attend the production meeting.
Controls the staging area for assembly, assuring needed items are present, preparing the items for production.
Expedite required items from fabrication or the stock room.
Kitting parts by order number for future assembly jobs based on master build schedule.
Perform transactions related to parts issued to jobs, assuring that all parts for a given job are issued for assembly.
Run and review various reports; ie negative on hand, shortage, and order status reports, identifying correcting changes and co-ordinate with inventory to make the correcting changes.
Assure parts for service orders and customer parts orders are expedited through the system and delivered to the stock room for final processing.
Act as first point of contact for internal questions of engineering and purchasing.
Prepare and participate in the twice yearly physical inventory (and/or cycle counting) working as lead counter and assist auditors in any necessary recounts.
Keep workplace organization and cleanliness up to the established 5S standard.

Able to operate motorized fork lift equipment and manual pallet jacks.
Prerequisites (Education, Experience)
Associates degree in Business Administration or related field (Materials Management)
High school diploma or equivalency with CPIM and/or CPM certification or-
High school diploma or equivalency with 2 years stock room experience
